Pioneering the Next Generation of Battery Technology
We are advancing lithium-ion battery innovation with patented laser-patterned electrodes, enabling faster, safer, and more efficient energy storage. Backed by leading research and industry partners, we’re transforming battery technology.
Our Story
At Arbor, we believe that the future of energy storage demands radical innovation. Our mission is to push the boundaries of what’s possible in lithium-ion battery technology, delivering solutions that redefine performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency. Backed by cutting-edge research and a leadership team with deep expertise in battery science, Arbor is poised to revolutionize the industry.
Arbor was founded on a simple yet ambitious goal: to eliminate the fundamental limitations of lithium-ion batteries. With our roots in academic research and real-world application, we have built a strong foundation of innovation, leading to game-changing advancements in battery performance, efficiency, and scalability.
Our journey began at the University of Michigan, where breakthrough discoveries in laser-patterned electrodes led to a patented technology platform capable of dramatically improving battery charge speeds and energy density. Today, with support from the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DOD), and private sector partners, Arbor is bringing this technology to market—delivering faster, safer, and more reliable batteries to industries worldwide.
